Religion, as I see it, is one of man’s biggest creations of all time. To believe in something, a higher deity or that you are kidnapped by aliens, is something where we humans can draw strength from, can find pity and sorrow in and can unite us against foreign treats.

A recent survey including interviews with Dutch women shows that over 75 percent believes in some kind of life after death. Furthermore, over a third of the women who were interviewed believe that the earth is created in six days… What I can’t believe is that science has proven that the creation of the earth as it is today has taken over 6 billion years and that there are still so many people who think that all the earth is created in just six days.

Je hoort het wel vaker, politieagent mishandeld door straatjeugd. Laatst stond ik zelf met open bek te kijken naar een filmpje op YouTube waar een agent voor alles en nog wat werd uitgemaakt en daarna nog even een paar stoeptegels naar zijn hoofd geslingerd kreeg.

As I look at the problems in the world I can see that we are struggling to win the war against guerrilla militia, simply because you don’t know who your enemy is and who your friend. I think we need a whole new strategy against these terror groups.
